Ben Davis - CEO/Executive Director (ben.davis@huntingtony.org)

Ben has served as the CEO / Executive Director of the Parkview Huntington Family YMCA since May 2014, and also spent eight years with the YMCA of Greater Dayton (Ohio) in the roles of Membership Director, Associate Executive Director and Branch Executive Director. Ben is a graduate of Anderson University (Ind.) with degrees in Public Relations and Journalism, and also worked at the University for six years in the role of Director of Alumni Relations. His favorite sports and fitness hobbies include running, obstacle races and playing golf. He loves to take his two daughters to the golf course, where they’d rather drive the cart than drive a golf ball! Ben grew up as a “Y rat” at the YMCA in his hometown of Sidney, Ohio, and his favorite aspect of working for the YMCA is the fact that every person and every family can find a program that helps improve their lives.

Todd Latta - Associate Executive Director (todd.latta@huntingtony.org)

Todd has worked for the YMCA for more than 10 years. The Y is where he learned to swim, joined his first wrestling team, earned a black belt,  spent time with family and built a lifetime of relationships. He says that his fondest childhood memories happened at the Y. Todd has two decades of experience as a personal trainer and is a certified trainer for the YMCA of the USA in the areas of personal training, fiscal management, and intro to leadership. He has bachelor’s degrees in Not-For-Profit Leadership and Human Resources, and a master's degree in Organizational Leadership. Outside of the Y, Todd enjoys spending time with family, music and exercising. Todd has the pleasure of seeing the impact that the Y has on the lives of others, and the opportunity to create programs that changes lives.
 

Tim Allen - Sports Director (tim.allen@huntingtony.org)

Tim has worked at the Y for over 10 years and volunteered for nearly 20 years prior to taking on the job as Youth Sports Director in 2004. Like a majority of the Huntington community, he learned to swim at the Y. Also, he participated in KIM League basketball as a 4th grader and found inspiration from Ez Williams, who organized and ran the KIM League. Under Tim's leadership, the Youth Sports programs have grown from around 300 participants to over 1500.
In his spare time, Tim enjoys spending time with his wife, 3 children and their first grandchild.
 

Pam Santos - Business Operations Manager (pam.santos@huntingtony.org)

Pam has worked at the Parkview Huntington Family YMCA since 2000. Her responsibilities include business operations and member services. She also specializes in Quickbooks and Daxko Operations systems for the YMCA. Pam loves spending time with her family and enjoying outdoor activities. Her favorite aspect of the YMCA is that the staff is wonderful to work with and the members are amazing. She says, “The Y has helped me blossom in my career and I am so thankful for the opportunity to help the Huntington community.”


Jill Gradeless - YMCA School of Fine Arts Director (jill.gradeless@huntingtony.org)

Jill has worked at the Y since 1999. She has taught water aerobics, swim lessons, silver sneakers, ballroom, various fitness programs, personal training and dance at the Y.  Jill started the Y school of dance in 2003 with 7 students.  To date, there are over 220 students in the dance program which includes ballet, tap, jazz, clogging, lyrical, and hip hop.  She started the Y School of Dance Competition Teams in 2014. Jill is passionate about quality programming, engaging kids and families and providing opportunities for all. In her free time, she enjoys the outdoors, decorating, traveling and lots of family time with her husband and 5 kids.


Karen Larr - Early Childhood Director (karen.larr@huntingtony.org)

Karen has worked at the Parkview Huntington Family YMCA since 1990 and oversees the Y’s child care programs including preschool and child watch. She has served as director of the preschool program for 16 years and has taught a class for eight years. Karen holds a bachelor’s degree in Family and Consumer Science Education from Ball State University. She loves spending time with family and friends, and her favorite aspect of the YMCA is the impact we have on families, individuals and children in every program we offer.


Vanessa Macias-Hannie - Membership and Mission Advancement Director (vanessa.hannie@huntingtony.org)

Vanessa has worked at the Parkview Huntington Family YMCA since November 2008. Her areas of responsibility include welcoming new and prospective YMCA members and helping them connect to the programs and classes that fit their passion. She also has been involved in Fitness programming for several years, including personal training and group exercise, and Silver Sneakers. Vanessa has a degree in Exercise Science from Huntington University, and served as a physical therapy exercise specialist for one year before coming to the Y. She enjoys running and time with her family, and loves the flexibility and relationship-building that are a part of her YMCA career.


Scott Craft - Wellness Director (scott.craft@huntingtony.org)

Scott has worked at the Parkview Huntington Family YMCA since 2007.  His responsibilities include overseeing the Personal Trainings, Wellness Center, and Group Exercise.  Scott instructs several group classes a week as well as instructs his personal training clients in helping them reach their individual goals in wellness.  Scott has certifications in Advanced Strength and Conditioning, Cycling, Core Strength, Group Exercise, and Advanced Resistance training.  Scott’s hobbies include weightlifting, playing softball, and hanging out with his family.  He loves being around people at the Y and seeing them work hard and change their lives.


Rob Miller - Youth Sports Director (rob.miller@huntingtony.org)

Rob has worked at the Parkview Huntington Family YMCA since November 2008. His responsibilities include youth sports programming and sponsorships. Rob served the Huntington community for more than 30 years as a public safety officer, with eight of those years as Fire Chief for the City of Huntington. Outside of the YMCA, Rob enjoys spending time with his wife, Debra (Rob and Debra met in a lifeguarding class!), their four children and seven grandchildren on vacations, holidays and frequent family gatherings. His favorite hobby is bowhunting in the Rocky Mountains with family and friends. He feels that the most rewarding aspect of working at the YMCA is the lasting relationships built and the impact of those relationships in the community.

 

Mariah Town - Youth & Family Director (mariah.town@huntingtony.org)

Mariah graduated from Huntington University with a Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Psychology in 2013, and is a YMCA certified Strength & Conditioning Instructor. She began her career at the Y as a Summer Camp counselor, fitness instructor and personal trainer while in college.  Mariah leads our Summer Day Camp Program, Kids Klub, Homeschool Gym and Swim, and Power Club with middle-schoolers, as well as developing youth and family events throughout the year.  Her favorite thing about working at the Y is interacting with so many different individuals who come from different backgrounds, and seeing how the Y holds a special place in each of their lives. 

 

Sarah Kowalski - Aquatics Coordinator (sarah.kowalski@huntingtony.org)

Sarah began swimming on the Huntington YMCA swim team at the age of 9. She went on to swim in high school where she broke four records, three of which still stand today. She attended college and obtained associate degrees at IPFW and IVY Tech.  Sarah began her career at the Y as a lifeguard and swim Instructor at the age of 15. After college she worked as a swim coach and assistant to the Aquatics Director for five years. She is a certified Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor. In her free time, Sarah enjoys water skiing, hiking, and spending time with her husband and four children. Sarah has witnessed the Y impact so many children in the pool by teaching them to swim and hopes to continue teaching that life skill to our community for years to come.
