Parkview Huntington Family YMCA KIM League basketball sign-ups and cheerleading registrations are underway for the 2019-20 season.  Basketball registration for boys and girls ages 3 through 5th grade divisions are open now until October 13.  Registration for middle school basketball divisions will open January 6, 2020.  Girls cheerleading is offered for 3rd- 5th grades with registrations being open until October 13.  Beginning in the 3rd/4th grade league, players sign up to play for their respective schools with teams practicing at their school and competing alongside their classmates.  This partnership with Huntington County Community Schools is a great collaboration for students to represent and compete with their respective school.

The youngest basketball league for Pre K (ages 3-5) and Kindergarten practice and play on Saturday mornings at the YMCA.  1st and 2nd grade is coed with practices one time per week and Saturday morning games at the Y.  3rd through 5th grade boys leagues and girls leagues are formed with kids attending the respective schools with weekly practices at their school and Saturday games at various locations around the county.  There are both girls’ teams and boys’ teams for the various 3rd through 5th grade divisions.  Cheerleaders will practice one time per week at the YMCA and cheer for players during Saturday games.  Cheer uniforms and poms are included in registration fees. T-shirts are included with registrations for the basketball leagues.

Cost of the leagues vary and all KIM league basketball and cheerleading are open to all community members.  Financial assistance is available to help offset the cost of program.
