April 3, 2020

Dear Parkview Huntington Family YMCA Member,

Our cause at the YMCA is to meet the needs of people and serve our community in every way possible.  Right now it appears that our best course of action to achieve this charge is to be socially responsible and do our part in helping to diminish the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

In light of Governor Holcomb’s intention to extend the “stay at home” Executive Order, we will need to continue with our current course of action and keep our facility closed through April 20th, pending further action and orders from state and local health and government officials.

If you have questions regarding memberships and programs, our phones will be open on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 11am-1pm.  We can place your membership on hold, but if you stay active with us, your membership dues can be considered a charitable donation during this time.  If you are interested in receiving a letter acknowledging your contribution for tax purposes, please email joy.koch@huntingtony.org.

We know that our community will be strong on the other side of this crisis, but we also know that we have to stick together when times are tough.  We are continuing to serve our community through virtual classes and instruction, offering childcare to Parkview Hospital employees, working on several building projects, offering employment to our displaced staff members through several creative methods, and being on high alert to help out wherever we are needed.

I hope and pray that you are staying safe, enjoying this time with family, and doing your part to keep our community strong (by staying home).

With much optimism,

Todd Latta
CEO
