YMCA AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL YOUTH

ALL YOUTH COMING TO THE Y AFTER SCHOOL MUST BE MEMBERS.  PLEASE INQUIRE AT THE Y IF YOUR CHILD NEEDS A MEMBERSHIP. (Parkview Middle School Youth Membership partnership)

FOR ALL YOUTH COMING THEY MUST:

1.  Complete Registration packet  AND

2.  Register in our computer system in person or over the phone 

We are excited for your interest in joining us at the Y after school! We look forward to getting to know your student and having them be an active part in our Y community. Here at the Y, we value YOUTH DEVELOPMENT, HEALTHY LIVING, AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY, and we believe after school activities are one way we can impact these areas!  DUE TO COVID-19, WE ARE RESTRICTING THE NUMBER OF STUDENTS IN OUR BUILDING AFTER SCHOOL, SO WE WILL BE REQUIRING ALL MIDDLE SCHOOLERS TO REGISTER PRIOR TO ATTENDING. REGISTRATION CAN BE DONE ON A MONTHLY BASIS.

WHY SHOULD YOUR CHILD ATTEND THE Y AFTER SCHOOL?
-Keep up with homework
-Engage in physical activity, such as sports, usage of the fitness center, swimming, and active games
-Build positive relationships with peers and adult mentors
-Safe place after school
-Receive member rates on programs

YOUTH MEMBER EXPECTATIONS
All members are required to be registered in order to enter the building without a parent or guardian. All members are required to follow YMCA policies and procedures whenever in the building. We also ask that all members demonstrate and show the YMCA Core Values while in the building:   CARING, HONESTY, RESPECT, RESPONSIBILITY

AFTER SCHOOL INFORMATION                                                                                                                              
-Youth are allowed in the building without an adult for up to 3 hours per day                                           
-Youth are expected to participate in planned after school activities                                                                                   
-Youth WILL NOT show public display of affection while on YMCA property                                                                              
-Youth will utilize the inside of the building for its intended use (not for Hide and Seek or Tag)                        

If there is ever an issue with a youth member’s behavior, a parent/guardian or emergency contact will be notified via phone of the situation and a conversation will be required with an After School Supervisor.
THE YMCA RESERVES THE RIGHT TO TERMINATE AFTER SCHOOL USAGE IF THE YOUTH’S BEHAVIOR IS NOT IN ACCORDANCE WITH YMCA POLICIES AND PROCEDURES.
