YMCA to Hold Fourth Annual Swing Inn Dance Party on April 18 to support the Annual Campaign
The Parkview Huntington Family YMCA fourth annual Swing Inn dance party is slated to take place on Saturday, April 18, 2026 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at a new location, the American Legion Post 85 located at 1410 S. Jefferson St, Huntington. Just as back in the 1950’s and 60’s our event will be the place-to-be. According to the Huntington High yearbook, Swing Inn fun was rated as the “best ever” by all the smartest “cats” and coolest “chicks”. Those who attended our event the last three years have said the same thing!
People of all ages (fourteen years and older) are welcome to attend. This year’s Swing Inn dance party features local radio host DJ and sponsor, Monte “the Music Man” Sieberns of Z103.com, who will be broadcasting live from the American Legion location, taking music requests and spinning the golden oldies as attendees twist (and shout) just like the good ole’ days.
With their paid entry fee, those attending will be served a diner-style meal of hamburger or tenderloin sandwiches with french fries or onion rings during the 6:00pm social hour and will enjoy dancing and entertainment into the evening from 7:00pm until 9:00pm. There will be a local merchant silent auction with the opportunity to go home with great items and services, during the early portion of the event. The legion canteen will be open for purchase in a separate area of the building throughout the night.
While dressed in their best era outfits from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s, “cats” and “chicks” will cut up the dance floor; however, attendees are not required to dress-up. The YMCA Swing Inn is a ticketed event with proceeds supporting the YMCA Annual Campaign which provides scholarships and financial assistance to allow YMCA programming to be available for all. A brief salute to veterans will be held during the evening and attendees are encouraged to bring personal hygiene items to donate to area VA Health Care systems.

Limited presale registrations are on sale now for $25 per person at the YMCA through April 17. Entries may also be purchased at the door for $30 per person. Registration provides attendees an entry to the dance, a meal ticket and 2 soda/water tickets. The legion and gaming side of Post 85 will also be open to Swing Inn attendees ages 21 and older during the evening.
