School of Music

We offer private music lessons for individuals of all ages (minimum age is 7 years old) with sessions during the fall and spring semesters and a recital at the end of each session. We typically offer a limited selection of lessons during the summer as well. You may register any time to join music sessions.

Music registration is REMAINS OPEN YEAR-ROUND. Read more HERE and call 260-359-9622 to get signed up. Music recitals are typically held at Trinity United Methodist Church, 530 Guilford St. at 6pm at the end of the fall session and spring sessions. Lessons for the spring semester began the week of January 12. Our spring recital is scheduled for Monday, May 18th at 6pm.

Violin, Voice, Piano, Guitar and BACK AGAIN THIS YEAR: Flute, Saxophone, Clarinet

Flute, saxophone and clarinet lessons are ALSO AVAILABLE FOR ENROLLMENT! You must provide your own woodwind instrument.

Tuition: YMCA Members $65 per month / Non-members $90 per month
Fees include instrument rental (excluding woodwind instruments). Financial Assistance Available.

Theatre Academy


We have teamed up with the Huntington Theatre Guild Act II to offer the Broadway and Beyond Theatre Academy at the YMCA. Students learn foundational skills in acting, voice, movement, stage craft and more! The end of the session will conclude with our very own theater performance at the end of each semester.

REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED FOR THE LION KING KIDS. The spring session will culminate with performances May 15-16, 2026. Students meet at the Y on Saturday mornings 9am-11:30am for practices!

Cost for Spring 2026 session is $42 for members / $67 for nonmembers.
